Chuck’s interaction with the terrorist doctor, “Doctor. Doctor. Doctor . . . and doctor,” is a direct homage to Chevy Chase’s dialogue with similar doctors in Spies Like Us.
The rival spy brought in to evaluate Sarah is named Alex Forrest, a reference to Glenn Close’s “other woman” character in Fatal Attraction.
The alias used by Rashad – Harry Lime – is a reference to Orson Welles character in The Third Man.
The date of birth used on the fake Canadian passport of Agent Alex Forrest (shown during one of Chuck’s flash sequences) is April 11, 1974; which is the actual date of birth of Tricia Helfer, the Canadian actress portraying the character.
