Trivia
We find out in this episode that Chuck and Ellie’s father left eleven years ago.
Chuck’s German impersonation is the accent used by Hogan’s Heroes character Col. Klink. Casey actually comments on the similarity of Chuck’s German to Klink’s.
When the Delorean is first shown the song Oh Yeah by Yellow is playing and the guys list off the cars attributes. This is a direct reference to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) when Cameron lists the Ferrari’s specs and the same song is playing.
The scene where the hotel staff member goes through the lobby asking for “Mr. Liechtenstein” is a reference to Lawrece Jamison (Michael Caine) improvising his entry as Dr. Schaffhausen in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Quotes
Casey: It’s not a mission, moron, she’s taken a personal day.
Chuck: I didn’t realize we got a personal day.
Casey: Well, you don’t. We do.
Chuck: I need a Nerd Herd.
Lester: No. Emmett found Jeff’s underwear on the back seat and he’s having them all re-upholstered as a safety precaution.
Awesome: Permission to speak freely?
Morgan: There are no secrets between us.
Awesome: Would you agree that you have no credit, no life plan, no apartment, no car, no adult responsibilities at all?
Morgan: On rare occasions I do my own laundry.
Chuck: (On the phone to the police) Yeah, hi. I’d like to report a stolen ’81 Delorean. Licence plate is D-E-M-O-R-G-A-N. No. This is not a prank call.
