The scene where Morgan dodges the tranquilizer darts is an homage to a well-known scene from the 1999 film The Matrix that features Neo (played by Keanu Reeves) dodging bullets in a similar manner.
When Chuck calls Morgan “Gollum,” he is referencing a character from The Lord of the Rings who was originally Sméagol until the ring destroyed his true personality and changed him into an evil creature.
